Employing about 130 people in Helena, Mont., Boeing Helena serves as one of Boeing Fabrication's centers for complex machining and end-item aircraft parts manufacturing. The site produces critical machined parts and structures for Boeing 737, 747, and 767 jetliners as well as the company's newest airplane, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Boeing Helena plays a key role in supporting Boeing Commercial Airplanes' capacity to manufacture hard metals structures to support increasing airplane production rates. Numerically controlled machines, conventional equipment and processing equipment allow the Helena workforce to machine hard metals such as titanium and stainless steel, into complex, high quality parts.
